The Hearts of Home Extension Homemakers Club conducted its July-August meeting Aug. 21 at Columbus Airport Hangar 5. Members enjoyed lunch while watching airplanes come and go.

The meeting was opened with the pledge to the flag and the Homemakers Collect.

The club officers information was recorded in the new Homemakers Knit Together by Life booklet.

Glenda Neawedde read “Character is a Victory, Not a Gift.”

Susan Robbins led in singing “In the Good Old Summertime,” where we conducted the meeting at her home.

Devotions were given by Janet Jarvis entitled “We Are One Nation Under God, and Always Have Been.”

Six members answered roll call by stating their favorite picnic food.

Neawedde gave the lesson “Craving This … Means You’re Missing This.”

The Constitution of Jackson County Extension Homemakers Association was passed out.

The upcoming Fall Fling will be Nov. 10 at St. Paul Lutheran Church Borchers. Members are to bring a pitch-in dish.

The next meeting will be Sept. 17 at Soups By Design in Columbus. Members are to bring a food donation for Provisions.
