Owls take out Red Devils

JEFFERSONVILLE

The Seymour girls tennis team blanked Jeffersonville 5-0 in a Hoosier Hills Conference matchup Monday.

Fresh off their Shelbyville Invitational championship Saturday, the Owls continued to play strong on the courts.

At No. 1 singles, Julia Adam defeated Jeff’s Libby West 6-1, 6-2.

Kennedy Richart picked up a No. 2 singles win, 6-3, 6-2 and Addie Rudge claimed No. 3 singles at 6-4, 6-3.

The doubles tandem of Karen Dringenburg and Lindsey Hume easily defeated Kaitlyn Sunsch and McKenna Woodard 6-2, 6-1.

In the No. 2 doubles spot, Hallie Crenshaw and Megan Baurle won 6-1, 6-1.
