Margaret Ann Pardieck

Margaret Ann Pardieck, 86, of Seymour, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, at Covered Bridge Health Campus.

Born Aug. 2, 1928, in Seymour, she was the daughter of Clarence and Flora Burbrink Steinwedel, both of whom preceded her in death. On June 25, 1949, she married Robert Pardieck, who preceded her in death in 2001.

Margaret graduated from Shields High School and attended Indiana University. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Immanuel Ladies Aid and a former Girl Scout leader. She enjoyed attending Bible study classes, playing bridge in her bridge clubs and spending time with her family on the holidays and at the family cottage at Lutheran Lake.

Margaret helped with the everyday operation of the family-owned business, Seymour Greenhouse in Seymour, for more than 60 years with her husband and children.

Survivors include her five children, Michael (Jeri) Pardieck, Jane (Kenny) Knue, James (Brenda) Pardieck, Judith (Dave) Casto and Timothy (Elaine) Pardieck; grandchildren, Angela Spangle, Jason Pardieck, Kristin Scherrer, Kevin Knue, Karen Knue, Misty Cooper, Mike Vogel, Nicholas Casto, Lee Ellen Casto, Jackson Casto, Ryan Pardieck, Cory Pardieck and Clay Pardieck’ 10 great-grandchildren; her brother, Robert Steinwedel; a brother-in-law, Roger Pardieck; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Ellerman.

Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Kathryn Adelhelm.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Seymour, with the Rev. Ralph Blomenberg, the Rev. Philip Bloch, the Rev. Jimmy Rodriguez and Vicar Daniel Merz officiating. Burial will follow at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Voss Funeral Home and from 10 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the church.
