Joseph Hisel, 63, of Terre Haute, formerly of Seymour, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015, at his home.

Born Oct. 20, 1951, in Columbus, Ohio, he was the son of John and Mable Hisel.

He married Linda Tylor of Illinois, who proceeded him in death.

He graduated from Seymour High School in June 1970 and worked as a union roofer for 23 years. He loved fishing and hunting.

Survivors include two sons, Joey Hisel of Illinois and David Hisel of Missouri; three brothers, Tom (Rose) Hisel of Tennessee, Gene (Brenda) Hisel of Alabama and Carl Dathna Hisel of North Carolina; four sisters, Barbara Hampton of Columbus, Betty Dyer of Anderson, Brenda (Jack) Sawin of Tennessee and Linda (Charles) Wyatt of Seymour.

Besides his parents, he was proceeded in death by two sisters, Margarette York and Dorthy Hisel; and a brother, Tim Hisel.

Joe will be laid to rest in Illinois alongside his wife, Linda Tylor Hisel.
