Emily Marie Abernathy of Indianapolis and Paul David Bell of Indianapolis were married at 4:30 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, at Harvest Bible Chapel in Avon, with Pastor Doug Harty officiating.

A reception followed at Serendipity at Metropolis in Plainfield.

The bride is the daughter of Paul Abernathy of Holiday, Florida, and Diane Abernathy of North Vernon. The groom is the son of Kent and Brenda Bell of Seymour.

She is a graduate of Jennings County High School, Hanover College and Indiana University School of Medicine. She works as family physician with American Health Network in Avon.

Paul is a graduate of Seymour High School and Butler University. He works at Interactive Intelligence in Indianapolis.
