Brownstown’s Sammie Bane, who currently plays volleyball at Marshall University, recently was named to the 2014 Conference USA Volleyball All-Academic Team.

Bane, an all-district selection, was named to her third consecutive C-USA all-academic squad with a 3.95 GPA.

Bane has a double major in exercise science and psychology.
