Mary Margaret Abner, 75, of Norman died at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at her home.

Born Oct. 2, 1941, at Bedford, she was the daughter of Wayne Sears and Marjorie Malott Sears, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Larry David Abner on Dec. 22, 1962, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Medora.

She was a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Leesville and a homemaker. She loved cooking and gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Pleas Sidney (Melissa) Abner of Bedford and Andrew Boyd (Linda) Abner of Palmyra; nine grandchildren, Sophie, Claudia, Claire, James, Morgan, Olivia, Isabelle, Asher and Fletcher; two brothers, Mike Sears of Medora and Dean Sears, of Bedford; and a sister, Jenny Underwood of Shoals.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura Davanna Dunn, and two brothers, Donald Sears and Merlin Sears.

The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hague Funeral Home in Medora with the Rev. Jack Belk officiating. Burial will be at Weddleville Lutheran Cemetery in Medora.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the funeral home.
